Objectives:
- Concept building on Metal & Non – metal
- Comparison of some physical and chemical properties of metal & non metal
- Use of metals and non metals in our daily life
- Students project work on local brass and bell metal industry of Assam
- The project will give a real life connectivity to the learners about metal alloy and their industrial aspect
Day 1 Time: 40 minutes Activity: Students will read the chapter from the book and will connect to teachers if they have any doubt about the same. Or, students can watch the videos mentioned in the resources and will write down the questions that they have. They will take help of the teacher and parents to clear their doubts. Day 2 Time: 60 minutes Assessment: Students will prepare a comparison chart of physical properties of both metal and non – metal in their notebook. They can find the same using internet, textbook and take help of parents or teacher. The teacher will ask students to find some chemical properties of metals which they see around them and explain it. e.g. rusting The teacher will post questions in the group and ask the students to answer them. Or, the teacher can ask the students to download the Diksha app where they can attempt a quiz on metal and non-metal and share their experiences.
