  • The students will learn how to construct a quadrilateral under given conditions.
  • Construction of quadrilaterals and understanding the procedure behind.
Day-1
Time: 20 minsActivity 1:
Draw 5 different quadrilaterals and measure all sides. Draw their diagonals and measure it. Share with your teacher. (Follow page no. 70,71)
Resource:

Text book page no. 70, 71 (in hindi)

Time: 30 mins Activity 2:

The students will go through the given text book pages no.71, 73, 77, 78 and will draw quadrilaterals given in activities no. 4.1.1, 4.1.2, 4.1.3 & 4.1.4. After that share it with the teacher
Resource:

The students can refer to Diksha App Assamese medium, class 8, video part 1,2,3 &4

20 mins
Activity 3:
Solve the problem and share with your teacher.

*If three angles of a quadrilateral are 75 degree, then the 4th angle is
120degree, b) 45degree, c) 75degree, d) 135degree

*Draw a quadrilateral whose diagonal bisects each other equally and give the name of that quadrilateral.

Students can refer to the below link to understand the concept:

Day 2

Time: 30 mins (for each activity)

Assessment:

  • Make a kite of sides 4cm, 4.9cm, and diagonal 7.2cm and colour it and share with your teacher.
  • You have to cut tiles for flooring shaped as parallelogram. The measurement of the tile is EF=5.2cm, FG=8.2cm and angle EFG=70 degree.
  • There are 4 pieces of wood of 8cm, one wood piece of 12cm as diagonal, measure the other diagonal to make a rhombus shaped photo frame and share with your teacher.
