Economic activities and permanent habitation of the early men (Neolithic Age).

Learning Objective:  

  1. The students will get an idea of Neolithic age and the significance of this age.
  2. The students will understand the importance of inventing wheel in our life.
Day 1

Time: 20 mins

Activity 1:
The students will discuss with senior members of their family (grandparents, parents, elder siblings, others) to get an idea about how the village was before and how the village has changed over the time and why the changes happened. They will draw a timeline and will share with the teacher.

Activity 2:

The students will go through the chapter and will highlight the doubts and will discuss with the teacher over phone call or in the WhatsApp group.
Then the students will fill in the sheet on the changes happened in the Neolithic age and why the changes happened (from the information in the book/ discussion with senior member/searching internet). The students will share with the teacher/ guardian.

Day 2

Time: 20 mins

Activity 3:

The students will take photos of the agricultural equipment/tools that are used in their village and will share it with teacher/guardian. Then the students will write the name of the agricultural equipment/tools they found in their village. They will also write what are the tools made of.

Activity 4:

The students will write a paragraph on how life changed after the invention of wheel in the Neolithic age and will share with their teachers.

Day 3

Time: 30 mins (for each activity)

Assessment:

Students may write the answers in their notebook or make a project using any application with photos and the below information and share with their teachers:
Name the 3 significant changes that happened on Neolithic age and why do you think they are significant.How animal husbandry help people in today’s life?

The students will conduct an interview with the senior members of their community to get an idea of how agricultural equipment/tools changed by time in their community and they will also compare with the agricultural style. The students will share the note with the teacher /guardian.
