Day1:
Time : 10 minutes Activity 1 : Why do we have day and night? Think and discuss with your friend over phone or parents and share in the WhatsApp group with your teacher. Activity 2 : Take a circular paper and put a stick in the middle of the paper and put it in an open place under the sun. Throughout the day observe the shadow of the stick and mark the shadow of different interval of time in that paper. Can you see the variations of size and places of the shadows in different interval of time? Try to find out the reason behind this variation and write in your copy. Resource:

Day 2:
Time : 30 minutes Activity 3 : Students will watch a video on YouTube to understand how earth rotates on its axis and day and night occur. – Students will watch a video on revolution of earth to understand the variations of duration of day and night as well as about the changing seasons with changing position of the earth during revolution. Or, they can find out how earth rotates on its axis, how day and night occur from different resources such as books, internet or ask teachers, parents and answer the above questions. Day 3:
Time : 60 minutes Assessment: Student will think about crops and seasonal fruits, vegetables that they eat and see in market and make a list of crops as per the season. They will also include in which states of India has the highest production of the crops they have listed. |
